Hawaiian Sunday
It was a Sunday afternoon and we were, watching Food Network (I know, SHOCKER) and they were showcasing some Hawaiian dishes. I was also working on my website at the time and Lovely looks at me and says. “You haven’t posted anything today. I’m going to start cooking something up for you” Next thing you know she’s going all out doing this Hawaiian themed entree. She whipped up this fantastic mango salsa that perfectly balance the sweet, heat and savory. She also pan grills some great shrimp, I had picked up at H-E-B on the way home, and cracks open a young coconut I had chilling in the fridge.
Next thing you know I’m in the kitchen designing the perfect layout for her preparation and getting a shot glass for my marinara sauce. A slice of pineapple, cocktail cherry, and half cut straw later this beautiful delicious masterpiece appeared. We could almost hear the waves and smell the fresh ocean breeze.
